New Numbers Highlight Ford Green Thumb

There's a lot to talk about on the subject of Ford green innovation. Everything from manufacturing plant buildings to vehicle engines are Mother Nature approved. But right now, Dale Jarrett Ford would like to spit out a few new numbers that truly paint a green picture. Company officials are saying that over the next year, one-third of the new Ford lineup will contain a 40+ mpg variant.

That's right. No matter whether you want a little electric and a little gas, a lot of electric and no gas, all gas and no electric, or anything in between, Ford will offer up a ride that fits your lifestyle and lowers your gas tab. Derrick Kuzak, group vice president, Global Product Development, says that the entire company is dedicated to "providing a range of options to best meet their [consumer] needs and support their driving habits and lifestyles."1

Perhaps someday everyone's lifestyle will conform to all-electric driving. After all, Ford is now offering up an EV variant of the Ford Focus which will attain a 100+ MPGe. If everyone got behind the wheel of one of these puppies...well...you can imagine how much fuel and environment we'd be saving. But, until that very green day comes, the automaker is more than content to roll out fuel-efficient models like the C-MAX Hybrid, C-MAX Energi and Ford Fiesta SFE. To match up your daily driving habits with one of these or other new and used Ford models, simply drop by Dale Jarrett Ford at 88 Dale Jarrett Blvd. Indian Trail, NC 28111-0189.
